The Bettafish

While the Lionfish was our first "production" morta, this was my personal "first" morta. I'd done a bunch of morta pipes based on Patrice's designs already, but all were collaborative in some fashion and after the moving and the unpacking was done, I suppose I wanted to make a morta pipe that was 100% mine. It was also meant to signal in no uncertain terms that the morta stylistic direction was changing. Whether from stress or the shock of the new, I got very lucky and produced what I think is one of the most beautiful pipes I've ever done. This one is in my personal collection and can be seen on display in our retail shop in Brittany, France.
