"Out of Stock" messages during check-out mean that the pipe has already sold, but I have not yet updated the catalog page to reflect its "Sold" status. |
Some VERY nice sandblasted grain on this one. It's been sitting here unfinished for over a week now, waiting for the parts to arrive for our broken sandblaster (The vac motor fried, prompting an afternoon's work replacing the bad motor, old gaskets, old filter, and interior window protective covering). I wish all briar was like this, it was so easy to blast -Really strong definition, not too hard, perfectly spaced rings for achieving decent depth between them... Just the ideal subject for blasting. While it isn't apparent in the side pics, the stem and shank narrow down to a pencil-thin connection at the bowl (See the top-down pic for a better idea). Passes a cleaner easily, draws easily, and boasts extremely light weight, especially for the size (While it is not a big pipe, it is larger than a lot of the ultra-light LB shapes and should hold a good long smoke). It was also flawless enough to leave completely unstained, for maximum coloring over the years as it darkens with smoking.
