Notes:  For some time now, I've been working on a new method of contrast staining, which is debuting with this current run of pipes and Goblins.  This one is an example of the process applied to a Ligne Bretagne - It isn't anything magic or revolutionary, but the contrast is a bit darker and the blacks are a bit deeper and richer.  Also, the finishing and polish on this one should be a notable improvement over past LBs.  It has a handcut-in-St. Claude horn stem with a beautiful grain coloration, and a really nice crosscut grain pattern that shows great bird's-eye on the bowl.  I must admit to a personal fondness for these wide oval-shanked shapes.
