![]() Goblin #8 "Bladdercrab" ![]() Spiky! Bladdercrab has the most arms and legs of any goblins so far, and he scuttles just as nicely as the others, with a great balance point on his three legs(Yes, there are three legs under him - see the bottom view - even though one of them seems to be hidden in nearly all the pictures). ![]() Bladdercrab shows off yet another variation of green, this time purposefully mottled and swirled across the surface in varying intensities running from medium green to deep forest green and even brown. He got his name because he looks so aggressively combative, as if he's reared back with claws extended, ready to snap at any other pipes nearby! ![]() Another nice feature of the 'Crab is that he has an extremely attractive horn stem, with a wide range of color and grain, which is actually a great deal prettier in real life than in any of these photos - I had a hard time getting good shots due to the translucent nature of the coloring. ![]() ![]() Bladdercrab has a wonderfully warty, natural plateau top colored in a mushroom-ey mixture of greens and browns. ![]() If he hadn't been snagged to be a goblin, Bladdercrab would have made a stunning ring grain blast, as can be seen from the detail photos here. Very tight growth rings are neatly stacked and defined, with the natural flame grain of the briar showing through in the vertical light and dark streaks of color. ![]() Don't let him get away!
