Notes: This
may be the largest morta pipe I've done so far - If not, it is
certainly among the biggest. The nautical shape echoes scallops,
clams, and whales. The shank extension is a piece of plateau
briara nd shows some nice flame grain that flares out with the shape of
the shank. Entertainingly, the pipe will sit! There is a
centerpoint on the base under the shank where it will balance upright,
despite being almost entirely rounded curves. The only downside
of the sheer size of the thing is its weight - Morta is heavier than
briar by density, and this much morta makes for a hefty pipe. Not
one for those who prefer holding the pipe in their teeth!
